{"id":5700,"date":"2012-02-28T15:30:58","date_gmt":"2012-02-28T15:30:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/becaskitchen.ro\/garlic-cream-soup-with-aromatic-bruschetta\/"},"modified":"2024-10-01T13:36:39","modified_gmt":"2024-10-01T13:36:39","slug":"garlic-cream-soup-with-aromatic-bruschetta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/becaskitchen.ro\/en\/garlic-cream-soup-with-aromatic-bruschetta\/","title":{"rendered":"Garlic cream soup with aromatic bruschetta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\">A few years ago in Austria, on a skiing trip, I tasted, on the recommendation of some friends, a specialty of the place &#8211; an excellent garlic cream soup.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/becaskitchen.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Supa-crema-de-usturoi-ingrediente.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"Cream of garlic soup\" src=\"http:\/\/becaskitchen.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Supa-crema-de-usturoi-ingrediente_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"Cream of garlic soup\" width=\"640\" height=\"323\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Since then, I&#8217;ve also tried the versions from Bucharest restaurants, but I was disappointed with the taste, especially since they were mostly similar to belly soup, but without the belly :). So this weekend, I went to the market, armed myself with all the ingredients and set off. <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">For the soup I used the following ingredients: 5-6 cloves of garlic, 2 small white onions, 1 carrot, 1 parsnip, 1 piece of celery root, 5-6 suitable potatoes, 5-6 sprigs of fresh thyme, 1-2 tablespoons of butter (I used <a href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/becaskitchen.ro\/2012\/02\/unt-de-casa-cu-mirodenii\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">butter with spices<\/a>, but you can also use olive oil for fasting soup), salt and pepper.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">I cleaned all the vegetables, washed them and cut them finely. I put half the amount of garlic together with the rest of the vegetables and a little salt in a pot and added water just enough to cover the vegetables (about 2-3 cm above the vegetables). I boiled everything on medium heat for about 20 minutes. When the vegetables were already soaked, I added the remaining garlic and a few sprigs of thyme and left the pot on the fire for about 5 minutes. I mashed all the ingredients and at the end I added 1 tablespoon of <a href=\"http:\/\/becaskitchen.ro\/2012\/02\/unt-de-casa-cu-mirodenii\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">butter with spices<\/a>, salt and pepper. So that the soup can also be consumed by those who are fasting, instead of butter, 1 tablespoon of olive oil can be added and then mixed in a blender for 1-2 minutes, to homogenize.     <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">To serve, I also prepared some bruschetta, I cut some thin slices of <a href=\"http:\/\/becaskitchen.ro\/2012\/02\/painici-integrale-de-casa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wholemeal bread<\/a>, which I smeared with a little <a href=\"http:\/\/becaskitchen.ro\/2012\/02\/unt-de-casa-cu-mirodenii\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">butter with spices<\/a> and on top, I put a thin slice of Parmesan cheese and a sprig of thyme, then I put in the oven (180 degrees C) for 5 minutes.
